WHO WE WORK WITH

United Kingdom Space Agency

United Kingdom Space Agency

Space Insight has provided a wide range of scientific and technical support to the British National Space Centre and its successor the UK Space Agency.

From 2016 to 2020 as part of the EU Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) Programme Space Insight provided the UK Space Agency with surveillance observations of space objects in high Earth orbits. UK participation in the EU SST Programme brought together the UK Space Agency (the lead entity), the Ministry of Defence, the Science & Technology Facilities Council, the Natural Environment Research Council, and Space Insight.

Other support has included Company staff sitting as members of the UK delegation to the Inter-Agency Debris Committee for 11 years, providing comment on / analysis of technology and strategy options for the surveillance of space, predicting satellite re-entry events, and twice (2004 — 2006 and 2014 — 2016) chairing the IADC's Working Group 1 (Measurements).
